Our old Eclispse bivvy has been incredibly popular in recent years and we could have probably left it as it was for 2012 and continued to sell good numbers of them. However, as new technology, materials and design concepts become available to us we feel it only right that we should make use of them to offer our customers the very best products possible. With this in mind our team of product developers took the Eclipse concept, kept of the best bits and then added a whole host of wonderful new features to create the beautifully named Retreat.
Based on a traditional pram-hood design the Retreat offers incredible interior space, thanks in part to a number of design tweaks at the rear of the bivvy. Firstly a larger back panel has been used and combined with a longer rear rib, then we have moved the rear pegging points and added extra points so that you can now place your bedchair right to the back of the bivvy. So even with all of your tackle, food, clothes and bait you will still have room for the kitchen sink and to swing the odd cat!
As with all of our top-end bivvies; the Retreat is constructed from our market-leading Ven-Tec fabric, which is both 100% waterproof and breathable yet very hardwearing at the same time.
Should you love the design of the Retreat but require something that is much bigger than fear not as we also make a Retreat XL, which features all of the same great design and technology as the standard-sized shelter.
